Rene Uy grabs Knights Cup Golf
He scored stunning 41 Stableford points
using his AGU handicap of 18. Rene,
who is also a member of Fox Hills, was
awarded with the trophy and cash prize
of $250. His name will also appear on the
perpetual trophy as the 2017 champion.
“My being member of Fox
Hills helped me a lot and I’m
happy to win over so many
participants” said Rene with
pride.
Eighty-six golfers from
different Filipino Social
golf clubs and their friends
supported this tournament now
on its 19th year. Likewise, a
group of seven golfers came
from Thai Golf Association.
Before the presentation
of awards, Knights of Rizal
Sydney Chapter Commander,
Sir Danny Peralta, KCR
warmly welcomed the
golfers and thanked them for
supporting the 19th Knights
Cup golf tournament. He also
acknowledged and thanked
the Committee members and
workers including their two
ladies.
Chairperson Sir Philip
Ranoso, KGOR thanked the
different social golf clubs
for their participation. In
particular, Fairgolf headed by
Cris Bacucang, Sydney Metro
Social Golf club headed by
Vangie Leones, Pogi Golf
headed by Ros Sandoval,
Marsden Park or Tee-rrific
Berdies headed by Danny
Martinez and Sydney jokers
headed by Ralph Posadas.
After the presentation,
the Regional Commander for
ANZO, Sir Cesar Bartolome,
KCR, in his message
acknowledged the sponsors
and mentioned some of the
future plans of ANZO Region,
including but not limited to
setting up of additional KOR
Chapters and possible ladies
chapter. He encouraged all the
golfers to join the Knights of
Rizal in order to propagate the
teachings and the life of the
Philippine national hero.
Meanwhile, preparations
are being made by the
Grade Winners and Runners up at the 2017 Knights Cup golf tournament (L-R holding trophies) are: Ed Montero (C R/U),

prize of $150 each.

All these runners up received trophies and cash prize
of $100 each.
Lady winner was Fidelis Badelles from Sydney
Metro Social Golf club with her score of 40 points.
She was awarded with trophy and a gift.
