Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III is proud to reveal of the government’s plans to turn the iDOLE into passports as he stated “Maybe given another six months, we [can] adopt a serve as their passport”. He added that OFWs need not apply since DOLE will collaborate with the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration on the facilitation of a hassle-free issuance of the iDOLE. “Hindi na kailangan mag-apply. If you are an OFW, bibigyan ka na kasi nandoon ka na sa roster ng OFWs, so they will start processing your ID and we will give it to you,” Bello said.
