In reflecting on his title season , Colin picks out Calder Park Raceway ’ s event as especially pleasing as his family was there with him , cheering him on . Adelaide ’ s final was also a highlight , with Colin having to race his mate ‘ Spence ’ ( Graeme Spencer ) in the final for “ all the marbles ”.
“ The last time I won the championship my family was very young and wasn ’ t able to travel with me , so it was great to have them with me this time around ,” he said , thanking his wife as well as VPW , Sonoco Race Fuels and Nostalgia Panels .
“ Super Gas is what I can afford to do and what I WANT todo . It was very gratifying to be able to come out on top with a car I built in the garage some 23 years ago against some really awesome cars that have come from the US .”
