Create buildings of the future inspired by master architects and driven by wild imagination!
Students in this class design and build their
own 3-D structures. We explore architecture,
construction and city planning by making paper
with found objects, drawing, painting, collage,
foil and mono print. Each of us creates a unique
community with many different elements and
produces a complete environment of our own
design. The sky’s the limit for our imaginations
as we dream up buildings that have never
before been seen!
This workshop brings us into the kitchen as a
starting place to create art. We learn basic sewing
techniques to create a wide variety of felt foods
and kitchen tools. Our menu includes cupcakes,
fruit, eggs, sandwiches, cheese, pot holders,
plates, aprons and more! We learn to tie knots,
thread embroidery needles, stitch, sew buttons
and create finished pieces of art by hand. Our
inspiration comes from colorful artists like Claus
Oldenburg and Wayne Thiebaud. Join us as we
dream up cheerful and scrumptious creations!
Design it! Build it! Construct it! Sew What’s in the Kitchen?
