CONCEPT: This workshop is for anyone interested
in learning how to create images in flat materials
with a CNC (computer numerically controlled)
router. We take drawings, photographs, scans
and found images and import them into Photoshop, where we modify the images and prepare
them for our CAM software. In the CAM software we assign tool paths for the CNC router to
follow. We walk away with our images drawn,
cut and routed into a variety of materials.

CONCEPT:  Investigate construction and form,
beginning with thin strips of wood that are
glued, lashed or woven together. The result is
both functional and sculptural: a strong, lightweight, hollow wood form. All experience levels learn simple construction methods, exploring and building volumetric forms.
