The New Media program offers workshops in video, animation, multimedia,
physical computing and programming.
All workshops are rooted in the same idea:
that powerful art requires rigorous inquiry
into techniques and ideas.
Our media labs are equipped with Apple
G5 computers, 20-inch calibrated monitors,
Epson inkjet printers, flatbed and film
scanners and digital media software
including the Adobe Creative Suite and
Final Cut Pro Studio 2. Course programming
permitting, you may also access a Howtek
D4000 drum scanner, Nikon CoolScan film
scanners, Epson flatbed scanners and
large-format printers, including an Epson
7800 and Epson 9800.

new MEDIA skill levels:
Open to all – Students of any skill and
knowledge level.
Level I – Students have basic computer literacy but no formal training in video, multimedia or animation.
Level II – Students have a basic understanding of video, multimedia and animation software. Students are comfortable
using a Macintosh computer.
