CONCEPT: Ever wonder why a Richard Avedon
portrait strikes you so differently than an Annie
Leibovitz? This workshop asks participants to
question the visual language of portraiture. As
the group examines the many forms, ideas and
histories within portraiture, we have opportunities to question preconceived ideas. Each of
us creates a series of portraits that best represents and extends our existing photographic
practice
CONCEPT: Spend a dynamic day photographing
some of the most scenic landscapes in the
Rocky Mountains: sites near Aspen and Snowmass with mountain views, sparkling streams,
a multitude of wildflowers and 100-year-old
artifacts from bygone mining days. This “photographer’s dream tour” reveals many possibilities that may be revisited later with in-depth
visual exploration.
CONCEPT: Don’t let the technical side of digital
