artistic staff DOUG CASEBEER, ARTISTIC DIRECTOR CERAMICS, SCULPTURE, FURNITURE DESIGN, WOODWORKING & WOODTURNING AND CHAIR of artist-in-residency program Doug is in his 28th year of running workshops at the Ranch. He received his MFA in ceramics from Alfred University and his BFA from Wichita State University. Doug’s service to the field has involved outreach in rural Jamaican schools, technical support and assistance for Nepali potters, and advising art centers in Chile and Hawai’i. His artwork is in collections around the world, including a permanent installation in 2007 at the Yingge Museum of Ceramics in Taiwan. In 2009, Doug was elected to the International Academy of Ceramics in Geneva, Switzerland, and was a featured artist at the Chinese Academy of Fine Art in Beijing. ANDREA WALLACE, ARTISTIC DIRECTOR Photography & Digital Media, Interim Painting, drawing & printmaking AND CHAIR of SUMMER WORKSHOPS Andrea Wallace received her MFA from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Before coming to the Ranch, she worked as Assistant Professor at Lake Forest College and Willamette University. Her film, Rochell and Brian, a documentary about teenage pregnancy, premiered at the New York International Independent Film Festival in 2006. SONYA TAYLOR Moore, PROGRAM COORDINATOR CHILDREN’S & OUTREACH Sonya studied at the University of Colorado at Boulder and formerly served as the art teacher at the Ross Montessori School in Carbondale. She is the founder of Yellow Canary, a children’s arts and crafts studio based in Basalt, Colorado.
