Skill Level: Open to all
Concept:  This workshop delves into painting the vast, varied landscape surrounding
Anderson Ranch, exploring specific visual
approaches to interpreting the landscape and
to making a successful painting. Although the
emphasis of this class is on the painting sessions, the workshop’s focus is expanding students’ understanding of landscape painting in
general; the many methods of its construction,
its history and the philosophies embedded in
this magnificent genre.
Media & Techniques:  Paint of any kind (students are welcome to use oil- or water-based
paint), a focus on landscape painting.
Activities: Students paint outdoors for one session in the morning and one in the afternoon.
