housing, meals and general information ACCOMMODATIONS Space is limited for all housing options. Housing is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The earlier you make your housing request, the better your chance of receiving your preferred choice. To ensure your housing reservation, you must pay in full 60 days prior to the start date of your stay. GETTING TO ANDERSON RANCH For most workshops, housing check-in begins at noon on the Sunday before your workshop. Checkout is by 10:00 am the Saturday following your workshop. Several airlines also have summer service into Eagle County Airport (EGE), which is about 1-1/2 hours from Anderson Ranch, but you would need to rent a car since ground transportation to the Snowmass Village area is not available in the summer. SPECIAL REQUESTS Our goal is to meet your needs. Please let us know if you have physical limitations – walking, stairs, vision, etc. We cannot, however, guarantee bed size, special amenities or specific housing assignments. WYLY HOUSE DORMITORY The dorm is a two-story, co-ed building located on the Anderson Ranch campus next to the Café. There are 18 bedrooms and a common area. Dormitory housing includes meals in the Anderson Ranch Café; no food is allowed in the dormitory. There are coin-operated washers and dryers. Phones are not available in the rooms, but there are two pay phones in the lobby. The rooms are clean and modest. We offer Option A for a shared room/shared bath, Option B1 for a private room/private bath, or Option B2 for a private room/shared bath. There are only six private rooms with private baths, so book early if you prefer Option B1. The shared rooms, Option A, have two single beds and a vanity sink; every two rooms are connected by one coed bath. No students under 18 will be housed in the dormitory. Students and guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult and may only be housed in private condos (options E and F). Check the web site or contact the Registration staff for housing and meal prices for the studio intensives in September. Freshly prepared meals are served in our on-campus Café. Both a vegetarian and a meatbased option are available at each meal. We cannot accommodate specific food preferences, or dietary requirements, or handle medical reactions/allergies. We encourage those with special dietary needs to request a condominium, which has facilities where you may prepare your own meals. CONDOMINIUMS Anderson Ranch leases condominiums from local homeowners. These vary in size, furnishings, amenities and distance from the campus. Most units are a quarter- to half-mile away (about a 10-20 minute walk); some are farther and may involve use of the free Snowmass Shuttle. The condos are located on hillsides. The walk to Anderson Ranch includes numerous steps and an incline. Each condo has a living/dining area and a kitchen (food is not provided). The local market is a 10-minute walk from most units. Condos have two or three bedrooms, one of which could be an open loft. All condos have a phone in the living area. Local calls are free and long-distance calls require a calling card. Some condo complexes have common areas, which include laundry facilities, a small pool and hot tub/sauna. Shared Condo Options • Option C — $700 per week Private bedroom or loft, co-ed bath (meals not included) • Option D — $750 per week Private bedroom or loft, private bath (meals not included) Private Condo Options • Option E — $1,325 per week Private 2-bedroom condo (meals not included) You may bring family/friends at no extra cost (occupancy limit is four people; one bedroom may be a loft). • Option F — $1,400 per week Private 3-bedroom condo (meals not included) You may bring family/friends at no extra cost (occupancy limit is six people; one bedroom may be a loft). OFF-CAMPUS APARTMENT OPTION Anderson Ranch leases a limited number of rooms in off-campus apartments for those on a budget. The units are approximately a mile away (about a 20-minute walk) and are close to the free Snowmass Shuttle line. The walk to Anderson Ranch is uphill. Parking is extremely limited. Each apartment contains four bedrooms and two baths. Each bedroom has a single bed, so guests are not permitted. The apartment has a living/dining area and a kitchen (food is not provided). The local market is a short ride on the free Snowmass Shuttle. There are no phones in the unit so we recommend you bring a cell phone. The apartment complex includes a common laundry facility. Off-Campus Apartment Option • Option H — $265 per week Private bedroom, co-ed bath (meals not included) Please Note: The State of Colorado requires us to charge 9.9% sales tax on lodging. In addition, the Town of Snowmass Village assesses a 2.4% lodging tax on all lodging arranged through the Ranch.
