ARTISTS-IN-RESIDENCE PROGRAM
In 2013, Anderson Ranch received 238 residency applications from more than 12 countries. Artists came not only from
the United States to participate in the Residency Program, but from England, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan. Residents
included both emerging and established artists. The photography & new media, furniture design & woodworking,
printmaking, painting and sculpture studios each had four residents in 2013, while the ceramics studio had eight
artists participating in the program. Of the 28 available spaces in the Artist-in-Residence Program, four are fully-funded
fellowships that are awarded by the jury panel.
The spring 2013 jury panel included esteemed artists Julia Jacquette, Peter Pinnell and Amber Frid-Jimenez. The
fall jury panel included Michael Sherrill, Mark Klett and Jean Gumpper. The jury panel’s contribution to the selection
process is appreciated, as selecting from such a talented pool of applicants is difficult.
