They run after the mysterious figure while shouting Minghao’s name, hoping that their friend
will stop and recognize them. Mingyu mutters a quiet ‘Lumos’ and the tip of his wand shines
through the gap of trees. He’s a few meters ahead from Seokmin when he finally stops in his
track.
Seokmin halts, standing close to Mingyu when he calls softly, “Minghao?”
No answer.
But they can see the figure much clearer now. He’s wearing Hogwarts uniform though they
can’t catch the color of his tie, nor his house crest. But the silver hair really gives it away. No
one can outshine the color of a particularly famous Slytherin’s pureblood line.
“Hao?” it’s Mingyu who calls him this time.
There’s a soft whimper comes out as a reply. Minghao is visibly shaking though they can only
see his back. He clenches his fists so tight it might break the skin of his palm. When Mingyu
takes one step closer, he finally speaks.
“Stop.”
“But Hao, let us help you.”
“You can’t save me.”
“This is just a dream, Hao. Nothing’s gonna hurt you here.”
“You don’t know anything!” Minghao’s shout bleeds desperation and Seokmin tugs on
Mingyu’s robe to make him stop talking for a while. “I keep it a secret for so long.”
Seokmin speaks up this time, his voice is softer than Mingyu’s urging one. “What is it, Hao?
Can you tell us?”
“You’ll kill me if you know about it.”
“We won’t! We’re your friends!” Mingyu begs. “Please let us help you.”
“No one can help me, Gyu. Except death.”
“Hao—”
“Mingyu!” Seokmin is quick to pull him when Mingyu is about to reach Minghao. He cuts
him by one harsh jerk to pull him backwards as Mingyu swallows down his protest when he
hears Minghao writhes in pain. “The moon…,” Seokmin whispers.
