but Corinthian is quick to turn around and grab the edge with his bare hands. Instead of red
blood, his wound spills black blood. He pushes Jihoon away with unseen force, “Tch, a pest.”
“Fuck you,” Jihoon spits out, stabbing his sword to the ground and using it as a leverage to
stand up.
“What do you want?” Wonwoo asks, his voice filled with anger. “You’re not supposed to be

stance.
“Oh, you begged twice! How nice!” Corinthian’s laugh is awful. “First you were begging to
spare your life. And now you beg for theirs!”
Wonwoo is quick to fill the blank gap of his question. “Jihoon, you—"
“I was threatened, okay? The way to escape from death is trick them with promises,” Jihoon
sneers, as if he’s half disgusted and half proud with himself. “You’re infuriating me.”
“It should be the other way, son of Loki. The way you promised me a golden ticket to get out
from the Underworld in exchange for your life, yet you attack me when I’m having fun.”
“I should’ve not made a bargain with you.”
Wonwoo watches the scene reveal after him. It’s in Jihoon’s nature to be tricky, to deceive
