è The ZVEI has launched a campaign called “ Innovation protects climate ”. How does that work – how can innovation protect the climate ? In fact , this is a huge issue for us , and we as an industry have a lot to say about it . Today we are facing the greatest challenges in human history – namely climate protection and global warming . We need a climate which , in perspective , must be able to support the lives of around eleven billion people .
Electrical engineering can make a significant contribution here . And we do this by not protecting the climate through banning and prohibiting things , but by thinking about technological alternatives and innovations .
