Michelle Obama is the current First Lady of the United States, who is admired for her dedication to the community, which involves fighting obesity with her “Let’s Move” act, as well as “Joining Forces”, where she offers opportunities and tools to succeed to service members and their families. As much as she loves to give back to her community, she is also very dedicated to her family.
Ellen DeGeneres is an American comedian, television host, actress, writer, and television producer. When Ellen came out about her own homosexuality, it brought inspiration to people to be who they really are. She helps organize many charities, such as St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital, The Humane Society, and more! On her talk show, Ellen, she continuously helps viewers in need.

Rhonda Capron was the successful owner of a bar by the name of Rhonda’s Speak Easy for 18 years, which previously closed this past summer. She’s also active on the Sioux City Council. She now opened an in-home care service to keep senior citizens out of nursing homes and to keep them in good spirit.
There are women doing great things all throughout America but, there are also successful women who help others in our Siouxland Community. Every month one of these women is chosen to share their stories of success on how they continue to give back to the Community.
