AmCham News & Events Fall 2018 / Issue 59 SENSORY GARDEN LAUNCHED M ore than 80 guests attended the grand opening of the Sensory Garden at the School for children and youth with impaired vision Dimitar Vlahov – Skopje, on September 28th. Attendees included U.S. Ambassa- dor Jess Bailey, Minister of Education and Science Arber Ademi, children from the school and their parents, local residents and municipal representatives led by the Mayor of Municipality Kisela Voda. A sensory garden is an outdoor class- room designed to heighten sensory skills of students with impaired eyesight. Aural, tactile, and olfactory elements stimulate children in a playful way that builds on their strengths and provides school staff with a 30 AmCham Macedonia Magazine
