AmCham News & Events Fall 2018 / Issue 59 MEET AMCHAM’S NEW BOARD MEMBERS MAJA FILIPCEVA is Head of Tax and Outsourcing at Grant Thornton Macedonia, having an exten- sive work experience in renowned companies such as VIP Macedonia as a Back Office Compliance Manager, an internship at Wind Italy and Process Specialist within Company Functional department at Makedonski Telekom. Ms. Filipceva holds Bachelor Degree in Law University from Ss. Cyril and Methodius and is certified lawyer since 2006. She also mastered in Communication from Università di Roma LUMSA. Our new Board Member is also a Member of AmCham’s Lawmaking & Implemen- tation Committee, and a member of GTI Global Tax & Outsourcing Committee, Inner Wheel Club Skopje Europea, a Participant in “Pay It Forward Day”, “Tolerance Day Round Table” and a Participant in Supporting “One can” Single Mothers. She has also attended the following Grant Thornton international training programs: -Advance Manager Program I, Chicago 2013; Advance Manager Program II, Madrid, 2013; Advance Manager Program III, Bangkok, 2014; Leading Change, Rome, 2014; GTI Tax Academy I, Dublin 2015; GTI Tax Academy II, London, 2016; GTI Tax Academy III, Madrid, 2017 and Emerging Leaders Program, Athens, 2018. NIKOLA LJUSHEV is the CEO of Makedonski Telekom AD – Skopje Mr. Ljusev has a remarkable professional career having been a Chief Executive Officer, at Crnogorski Telekom, Executive Director Macedonia, one.Vip DOO Skopje, Executive Director Macedonia and Chief Executive Officer & Chief Technology Officer at Vip operator DOOEL Skopje as well as Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Blizoo Macedonia and Chief Technical Officer at Cosmofon. Mr. Ljushev holds Bachelor Degree in telecommunications, advancing his knowledge at the presti- gious University of Chicago Booth School of Business, Harvard Business School and INSEAD. Global Telecom Business – London awarded him twice as one of the top Forty-Under- Forty executive directors in the telecommunication segment worldwide. LJUPCO GEORGIEV is the General Manager of Microsoft for Macedonia and Kosovo. Mr. Geor- giev has more that 20- year experience in the ICT sector holding high positions such as Customer Sales Director for CEE and Balkans/ Head of Macedonian Office and Regional Sales Manager for CEE and Balkans, 6PM Solutions, Training Leader and Coach at Gustav Kaeser Training International, External Consultant and Deputy General Manager / Business Development Manager for CEE and Balkans at Euro Computer Systems-ECS, Managing Director/Area Sales Manager at CISCO Systems as well as Managing Director/BDM for CEE at SRC SI and Sales & Marketing Manager at SNT. VLADIMIR KOSIJER is the General Director and Board of Directors Member at Pivara Skopje AD. Mr. Kosijer has held executive positions as BU Sales Director and previously Commercial Capabilities Development Manager, Coca Cola Beverages – Ukraine. Our new Board member employment his- tory also includes Field Sales Manager and previously Country SAP project manage and Go to Mar- ket Manager at COCA COLA HELLENIC – Serbia and Montenegro. In addition, Mr. Kosijer has also held the position as Project Manager for EATB Projects at Multon” member of Coca Cola Hellenic group and Key Account Management – Workstream Leader, Group EATB department – Customer Centric Capabilities Project. His remarkable professional career started with Key Account Supervisor, COCA COLA HELLENIC, Serbia and Montenegro. Mr. Kosijer holds a Master Degree in e-Business and Bachelor Degree for General Management. MARJAN PETRESKI is the Vice-Rector for Research at the University American College Skopje – UACS. Mr. Petreski also holds the position of Associate professor and Senior researcher at UACS and Strategic Adviser at Finance Think – Economic Research and Policy Institute. His previous pro- fessional experience includes the following positions: Vice-Dean for Research at UACS, Postgraduate Teaching Fellow at the CERGE-EI, Research Centre – Prague, Econometrician at the National Bank of Macedonia and Economist for Macroeconomic models and forecasting at the Ministry of Finance in Macedonia. Mr. Petreski holds a PhD in Economics and Master Degree in Banking and Finance. Throughout his outstanding career, Mr. Petreski has been awarded the Young Scientist Award 2009 by the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts; the Olga Radzyner Award 2010 by the Österreichische Nationalbank; the Japanese Award for Outstanding Research on Development 2013 by the Global Development Network and the Government of Japan; and the LSE-CEFTA Award 2016 for paper on trade by the CEFTA Secretariat and the London School of Economics. 26 AmCham Macedonia Magazine
