Gaining Leadership Experience
This year the students gave two presentations. In the fall each student had to present about someone they considered to be a strong leader. This spring ambassadors paired up to present on a leadership trait such as empathy, inspire, humility, passion/compassion and perseverance.
They also had to incorporate a lesson to teach the group about their trait.
Learning to work as a team is also a big part of learning to be a leader. The group did a "human knot" activity. This exercise is a great way for people to learn how to communicate and work as a team. Not everyone can be a leader in this exercise, participants must also learn how to follow.
Activities for a Cause
This year the group decided to paint rocks and leave encouraging messages on them. The rocks were placed throughout campus grounds.
The ambassadors also made tie blankets for the local animal shelter, PAWS.
