Step-by-Step
It is true; if you want to go anywhere, you’ll need to take steps in order to get there.
Some steps may be smaller; some may be bigger. You may take your time, or you may
run. You may go barefoot or you may dress up in your nicest Louboutins. But whatever
you do, you will need to take action and take those steps.
It sounds easy, and pretty straight forward. But what if you’re unsure of the steps
you’ll need to take? Not every great destination comes with a proper guide on how to
get there, and if it does, the road may be paved with obstacles. For instance, many
people dream of getting rich, but how to do it…? Most people will never find the
answer to this question. Most people flourish and feel best when they have a circle of
loving and caring people around them, but still loneliness is becoming an ever
increasing problem in our modern day individualistic society. Most people want to be
healthy and fit and look their best, yet obesity is an ever growing health threat to many
societies these days.
And when we do know what steps we should take, it can be really hard to actually take
them. We all know that we can only excel at most things when we invest time and
effort in learning and practicing the required skills. Yet, we may not do that. We may
not find (or create?) the time to do it as we don’t prioritise it in our schedule, or we
get distracted along the way. We may stop in our tracks when things get hard or when
we don’t seem to progress quickly enough.
In this issue of Amarantine, we hope to inspire you to choose your destination, map
out your route, define the steps, and actually take them – one step at the time – and
keep moving forward.
Warmest regards,
Denny
