Patrol has been
keeping kids safe
at crosswalks for 80
years. You can do your
part by heeding these
important tips:
• Watch your speed
in school zones and
make sure you’re
aware of the posted
limits and times.
• Help reduce school
zone congestion by
parking farther away,
then walking a block
or two drop off your
child. It’s an easy way
to add a bit of fitness
to your day.
• Avoid distractions.
There’s a lot of activity
in school zones. Even
with hands-free de-
vices, your mind isn’t
100% on the road.
• Be on the lookout
for AMA School Safety
Patrollers. These
brightly adorned
youths work to ensure
their schoolmates
are able to cross the
street safely.
