While on expedition, your classrooms will
be the peaks of Patagonia, river canyons of
Idaho, ski slopes of the west, and turquoise
blue waters of southern Chile. The multi-week
expeditions provide opportunities to try out
leadership concepts studied in class, find that
you are more capable than you imagined,
and learn how to motivate a group of peers
toward a common goal. Stunning backdrops
and inspiring vistas abound.
Beyond expeditions, the outdoors are
integrated into the semester. After class you
may find yourself snowshoeing to a snowball
fight against your teachers, paddling at the
whitewater park two miles upstream of “Alzar School gave me the most challenging four months
