Stanford University
Isaac attends Stanford University where he is studying Symbolic
Systems, an “interdisciplinary cognitive science degree that
combines psychology, computer science, philosophy, and
linguistics as a way to study the mind.” An alumnus, Isaac
continues to be inspired by his Alzar School experience. His
semester helped him to realize the importance of community and
led him to seek out similar communities through college and study
abroad programs that valued community and service.
Isaac attests that “the Alzar School was an impetus for a
20
perspective shift” and carried him forward in his academics and
college application process. The relationships he developed with
his teachers at Alzar School were key to how much he was able to
grow and learn.
