Into the woods, the children went on, looking for a clear path. Finding nothing but thick branches and weed patches, they grew tired.

“Why did I have to be born a fox?” cried Aubrey.

“Now that’s silly talk! We can’t change because they don’t like us,” her brother comforted.

Sniffling, Aubrey wondered about his words.

“You don’t want to change?” she muttered.
