This is the first chapter of the novel Tribulations. Tribulations takes place in the farmlands of Wisconsin. I was inspired to write this piece because it came from a vivid dream that had stuck with me long after I’d awakened. I had this dream months ago and a lot of it is still fresh in my mind. I’ve heard that some of the best work of art comes from dreams and I wanted to explore that notion. Tribulations serves as a challenging piece. The story came to me with broken ideas and scenes that I have to fill, in order to close the gaps to create a coherent story that flows and excites the readers. This is a mixture of sci-fi and adventure and I want the reader to experience the tribulations the characters go through.
