He could faintly hear patients screaming as his nurse and doctor were frantically trying to open the doors to release everyone. Marcel carried himself through the halls, his mind barely conscious as it wasn’t until he passed the glass window that he peered into the medic room. He saw his own reflection and it left him stunned.

He felt no pain, no heat seemed to bother him, and he wasn’t even sweating despite the fact that his arms were covered in flames.

“Marcel let’s go!”

His head turned to see two of his only friends left, Serge was waving him over, his golden eyes gleaming as the flames flickered near his younger sister Avery at his side, the light leaking out of the main entrance's door spilling onto her face.

“We need to get out of here, this is our chance! Let’s find our home.”
