New Scholarship for combat-wounded veterans
At a very young age, he experienced the loss
of his beloved uncle in the Vietnam War. The
sacrifice made by his uncle inspired him to
serve those who serve our country. This led
him to become involved in the Coalition to
Salute America’s Heroes. Dr. Sircher has served
on the Coalition executive board for the last six
years, two of which he served as Chair.
In 1981, Dr. Thomas G. Sircher began his
chiropractic career as a graduate from National
College of Chiropractic (NCC), now National
University of Health Sciences (NUHS). During
his educational experience, he was influenced
by Dr. Joseph Janse, ’38, Dr. Marshall Lysne,
’67, and Dr. Randy L. Swenson, ’77). Their
collective knowledge and personal interactions
helped shape Dr. Sircher into the chiropractor
he has become.
For over 30 years, he has been providing
the Lake County, Ill. area with exceptional
chiropractic care. Dr. Sircher is a member of
the Illinois Chiropractic Society and American
Chiropractic Association. His practice is a
staple in the community of Libertyville, as he
has the privilege of treating generations of
family members. Dr. Sircher’s practice has been
structured to offer family practice, physical
therapy and rehabilitation, with the focus
on the musculoskeletal system. As the sole
chiropractor, he is able to provide personalized
attention to diagnose and focus on the whole
health of each patient.

National University is honored to share that
the Coalition to Salute America’s Heroes
has created a scholarship to help financially
support post-9/11 combat-wounded veterans
participating in any NUHS program. If no
eligible combat-wounded veteran applies, the
award may go to an honorably discharged post
- 9/11 veteran. The scholarship was created
in the name of Dr. Thomas G. Sircher because
of his commitment and dedication to veterans
and his patients. One of the greatest joys for Dr.
Sircher is seeing the road to recovery coming
full circle for our veterans. He encourages
everyone to support the brave men and women
who have served our country.
