Homecoming 2017 Wrap-Up

National University hosted another successful Homecoming on campus in Lombard, June 22-24. This year's theme "Connect, Learn, Advance," encouraged alumni to come “home” to connect and network with former classmates and future colleagues, learn and expand their skillset through continuing education courses, and advance their careers.

Many of this year's events were brought back popular demand such as the research update, mentor session, cocktail reception, and campus tour featuring new additions such as the hydrotherapy suite in the clinic and the renovations recently completed in the Student Center. New features included the sponsor/mentor luncheon, where students were able to continue networking with student and event sponsors, alumni, faculty, and staff in a social atmosphere. Also new this The continuing education presentations, which featured an outstanding lineup of speakers organized by profession so alumni could pick the track that was of most interest to them.

During the annual President's Luncheon, Dr. Joseph Stiefel discussed the university's current goals and how alumni can get involved and support their alma mater. At Saturday's Alumni and Class Reunion Luncheon, Dr. Stiefel recognized those members of the university's giving clubs who reached new donor levels. He also honored Dr. Thomas D. Stotz as Outstanding Alumnus of the Year and Dr. Carlo Guadagno as a Fellow of the International College of Chiropractors. Dr. Jerrilyn Cambron was recognized for 25 years of service. Dr. Bruce Hodges recently retired chiropractic faculty member, and Sue Unger, NUHS Financial Services director, received quality service awards. The event concluded as always with a gala cocktail reception, fine food, lively music, and great camaraderie.
