The Master of Science in Advanced Clinical Practice (MSACP) is offered through the College of Allied Health Sciences & Distance Education. This is an advanced degree designed for first-professional health care providers. The program provides an in-depth immersion into integrative medicine with an outstanding faculty who are active in the profession.

Program Overview

The MSACP program is offered in a convenient online format so that physicians can integrate their new knowledge directly into patient care while completing the program. Details of the program include:

• 36 credits with both full-time and part-time options available

• 100% distance learning with no on-campus requirements

• Orientation or registration completed through online portals

• Class participation recorded through online discussion boards

Curriculum Highlights

The MSACP program offers a solid curriculum with advanced courses, including:

Clinical Pharmacology: This course focuses on pharmacologic agents utilized in the primary care setting that are within

prescriptive rights for advanced practitioners. Discussion will include medication classification, mechanism of action,

appropriate utilization, controlled substance scheduling and common drug reactions and interactions.

Functional Nutrition in the Clinical Setting: Taught in the first trimester, this course focuses on nutrients depleted as a result of pharmaceuticals and describing alternative dietary and supplemental products used in several disorders and diseases.

Research Methodology and Biostatistics: Taught by expert research faculty, this course focuses on how to critically appraise literature for better clinical understanding and application.
