Did you see yourself taking the career path that you are in?

I studied general business administration and I definitely had a passion for the subject matter. I always thought I would work in the corporate world. However, I have never worked in the corporate sector; just Non-Governmental Institutions (NGOs). There definitely is need for business administration in the NGO sector. I’m therefore doing what I always wanted to do. USIU-Africa however prepared me to be a global citizen and worker and I therefore would thrive in whatever sector I go to.

What are your best experiences and greatest achievements so far?

My best experience so far is witnessing first-hand the growth and positive changes of our devolved institutions and serving our country in my current capacity. When history will be written about devolution in our Kenya, I will proudly say that I witnessed the changes and possibly share the little contribution that I made during my time in this field. Few Kenyans are privileged to be in this front seat and I am humbled that I get this privilege.

USIU-Africa’s motto is “Education to Take you Places”. For sure the world has been my playground because of my experiences at USIU-Africa. I have taken the world as a place with limitless opportunities.

Describe one of your favorite memories of USIU-Africa.

In 2003, several students and I went to Germany to represent the university and the country at the Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) World Cup. I was the President of the USIU-Africa SIFE club.
