‘Mel Kuol foundation gave me a chance in education; this opportunity gave me a sense of responsibility to prove that I am worthy. If my sponsors at Mel Kuol would realise that they gave one girl from the village an opportunity to finish school, they would know that they made a huge difference in the society,’ says Daisy.

For the work study program, Daisy was placed in the Research department of the school library. The skills and knowledge she gained from this opportunity include consumer insight, market trends and customer intelligence which she currently applies to her PR work.

Unique experience at USIU-Africa

She relished her time at USIU-Africa and was especially impressed by the multicultural student body; making friends from all over, indulging herself in the diverse cultures and exposing herself to new perspectives. She knew that in this globalized time intercultural skills and awareness definitely come in handy because one never knows who they might work with. Something else she liked about USIU-Africa were the school trips; in her third year she got the chance to visit Rwanda for a field study. class.
