Altitude 2497 COSFORD SQUADRON 3rd August 2012 August NACATC Llanbedr Camp I, myself went to this years Llanbedr camp and I can easily say that it was my favorite camp so far. We started the week by meeting and boarding the coach at Cosford. Once the register had been checked we started the engine and headed for Llanbedr. Half way through the journey we stopped at Welshpool where we could stretch our legs and topped up our junk food supplies for the week. On arrival, we offloaded the luggage and the camps food and were shown to our rooms. Before we had time to unpack we were called into the dining room for a camp brief and kit check. After handing over our money we were allowed the rest of the day to settle in and get to know each other. Just before lights out we were called back to the dining area for our evening brief. We were told that Sunday’s activities would be mountain biking and hill walking, given a kit list and sent off to get a good nights sleep. for Betwys-Y-Coed. Not long into the jorney two out of the three buses discovered a mix tape in the CD player. The tape became the subject of war between the buses as every day as it provided the journey's entertainment as people bellowed out the tunes. Up coming Events : ? GIC (4 SPACES)-8TH SEPTEMBER ? The cyclist were given a quick brief about how to use the bike properly then, the first group (my group) had a short walk to the cycle centre where we collected our bikes. Getting to the base of the hill itself was quite hard work. When we eventually reached it reached it the gradient increased majorly and the terrain got rougher. However, we were all determined to reach the top so in our own time we rode (and pushed the bikes) up the hill. Near the summit we reach a dam where we stopped for some lunch. By this point we were all drenched from the heavy rain but it was welcome as it was a nice way of cooling down. ?
