Annual Membership Meeting & Banquet
The annual membership meeting and
banquet is held annually during the first
quarter to recognize outstanding business
leaders in our community. In 2017, the award
recipients were:
Benjamin Berkeley
Citizen of the Year was
awarded to Betty
Gaddis Yndo for her
tireless dedication to
the revitalization of
Historic Murphy
Street.
Paul Forchheimer
Business Professional of
Betty Gaddis, 2016 Citizen of
the Year was awarded
the Year award recipient to Stephen Wood of the Saddle Club &
Granada Theater in recognition of his support
and promotion of community events and
gracious hospitality.
Jim Francoise Student of the Year was awarded
to Iris Chavez, a senior at Alpine High School,
for her scholastic, athletic, and leadership
achievements, as well as her commitment to
making a positive impact on her community.
The Alpine Ambassador Club awarded the
Business Longevity Award to Joy Parsons of
Parsons Real Estate for 45 years of serving the
Alpine area and the Ambassador of the Year
award to Lauren Sanders.
The Kiwanis Club of Alpine awarded the
Janette Bowers Volunteer of the Year to Victoria
Bannister for her many years of work and
support of Casa Hogar, an orphanage in
Ojinaga that houses as many as 30 children
who have been abandoned, neglected, abused,
or trafficked.
