All Unsigned had the opportunity to interview Saint Louis, MO artist Redd Da Killer Bee, who recently dropped a brand new single titled 'Caught in a Fantasy.' We talk to the up and coming artist about his new release and get to know more about him as an artist.
Redd Da Killer Bee, we're esteemed to get to know more about you as well as talking to you about your recently released single 'Caught in a Fantasy.' Firstly, tell us where the name Redd Da Killer Bee / RDKB originates from? I was nicknamed "Redd" at birth. I was born with the chicken pox. Eyes were red and my daddy's friend said I was red and started calling me "Redd". That name is already trademarked to the Turkish rock band so I had to come up with something different. Lil' Kim is my favorite rapper, so as long as she's the Queen Bee, which is perpetual, I'm Redd da Killer Bee.
How long have you been doing music and when did you decide to take it seriously? I started in 2003 but didn't get serious until 2007.
Who or what inspired you to get into the music industry? When I started in '03, my brother, cousin, and I did a rap song to make my grandma feel better after she was in an accident.
