Born Jordan Lewis, after the greatest basketball player; Michael Jordan in Lexington, KY. He grew up the youngest of 5 siblings. Having an older brother who was in the streets taught him the game of life but also made it to where he didn't have to take that route. His brother took care of the family financially until 2006, when he was charged.
Jay Ellz went on to University of Kentucky as a student but quickly learned his own personal dilemma. Is this all there is to life? He fell into a contemplative phase experimenting with drugs and realizing they can be a blessing to cope with life, and also the single biggest detriment. The feelings of uneasiness and escapism resulted with him venting creatively through music. Learning to tell his story and the stories of those around him became a process he dove into which leads him to this point. Member of a team named 'The Only Crew'; Jay spends his
time sonically crafting his first project with in-house producer Balloonz. Jay Elly has also collaborated with many of his state's contemporaries, as well as performing to packed audiences. Look forward to Jay Elly's debut project coming in Q2 of 2016.
