by 21-17. Unfortunately they were unable to beat
Bournemouth B Team to become overall winners,
but we are very proud of their achievement.
The ball is due to finish at midnight, when pupils

Year 9 Football
Our Year 9 boys team played really well at this
year’s County Cup for Football. They beat Thomas
Hardye School A Team 2-1 to make it to the semi
final. Here they faced and beat Budmouth to make
it to the finals where, in true England style, lost on
penalties to Colfox 4-3.
Our feisty Year 10 Team also played in a countywide
tournament where they met opponents from Poole
High School, Bournemouth Collegiate School and St
Peters School where they battled to their best.
Netball
The Girls netball teams have all been busy with
both matches against local schools and area
tournaments with particularly good results against
St Mary’s Puddletown and Budmouth.
Year 9 Rugby
Just to show us what a truly sporty lot the Year 9
are, not content with their football result, they
went on to play in a countywide rugby tournament
that included 16 Dorset secondary schools. They
beat Winton 7-0, Highcliffe 14-7 and met St Peters
Girls Football
On 1 March the Year 8 Girls Football team made it
to the semi finals of the area cup but sadly lost in
extra time—well done girls.
