Lunch: Lunch time is part of VESS curriculum. Children are
expected to be learning about manners, nutrition, good
hygiene habits, and good nutritional habits. Every child must
have a place mat, spoons, napkin and a cup with a drink.
Encourage them to eat and enjoy the food. Tell them stories,
talk about the food, describe it, have math talk: more, less,
one more etc.
Make transition fun and busy. Have play dough and puzzles
ready at the tables for them to go and play with. Be consistent
with the routine. Have a wake up song. Once every one is
awake (by 2:30) start a learning activity, Music, gym, or Art.
