Toddler Activities
1. Standard-Shows interest in people and objects in direct environment
- Provide various colored and textured fabrics and materials for toddlers to explore
with their senses.
2. Standard-Begins to put away toys, when clean-up is announced
- Encourage toddlers to clean-up dress-up clothes by placing clothes in correct
place.
3. Standard- Begins dressing themselves with help and later without help
- Pretend Play- Let’s play dress-up!
4. Standard- Pushing and pulling large objects
- Pretend Play- Let’s play store!
5. Standard- Sort objects by shape, color, and size
- Encourage toddlers to sort large buttons by color, shape, and size.
6. Standards- Scribbling using a variety of materials, such as crayons, chalk, and finger
paints
- Offer a variety of clothing templates for toddlers to color with a variety of
materials
7. Standard-Dressing themselves with help for difficult steps, such as getting arms into
sleeves
- Pretend Play- Let’s play dress-up!
3-5 Year Old Activities
1. Standard- Demonstrates increasing control of large muscles
- Offer a variety of dress-up clothes and costumes for children to play and dance in.
2. Standard-Continue to improve balance and control
