Web letter
Objectives:

Recognize letter sound with objects’ or words initial sound

Associate objects by their initial sound letters

Organize ideas using a Concept Web as a tool
Tips:

Write or draw words that start with each letter`
-
Allow children to walk around the classroom and find objects that start with the letter sound

Allow children to make their own “writing”, let them feel free by using pictures or their own
scribling. You can use a separate pieces of paper like Post-it paper to have each child writing
their ideas.

Using different print materials encourage children to cut out words to reinforce the letter
sound, and leter recognition.

Invite children to created their Own web

Use one web for group work, have no more than 6 children working on the same web
independently. Or no more than 10 if working with your assistance.

Display the webs created in the language areas in your classroom. Re-visit this documentation
and encourage children to use it for future references on finding letter sound asosiations.
