Activities for children 3 to 5 years of age
Let´s invite the children to build a three dimensional map of Kenya, over a flat and large
surface using different materials. The idea is to replicate the geography, including mountains,
volcanoes, savannahs, jungles, forests, rivers, coasts, without forgetting the city. Using plastic
animals, place them in the different habitats. Once the activity is finished, we can make a bar
graph to know what habitat they prefer and we can also do this with the animals. This activity
can be enriched if during a project we use the different keys for thought to challenge them to
think and be more creative.
