Can we make a glacier?
Using a transparent and rectangular container, invite the children to create a landscape with play
dough, similar to a mountain range. Then, let´s place water, indicating that water can be found
in different physical states, and that it is now in its liquid state. Then we place the water in a
freezer, with the children, and explain that the temperature is like that of the glaciers, very cold,
so much so that it is able to change the physical state of water into a solid state. Next day you
continue with the activity, showing the container, and analyzing with them the changes they
observed.
