I Am Unique/My School
General Goals and Objectives
This month we connect two significant topics “I Am Unique” and “My School” as we
want our children to look with their eyes and feel with their hearts that in our school we are all
unique. It is important to reinforce the value that we are all equal but at the same time we are all
different. Through provocative and significant activities children will explore and discover
themselves and understand what it means to be unique and therefore different from all the others.
Also, we want to help them make connections with each other by identifying similar
characteristics, common interests and habits.
Through this monthly exploration we also aim to develop certain behaviors such as
tolerance, empathy, and acceptance. Teachers in Edu1st are seeking to be the role models for the
feature unbiased and open-minded adults. It is in our culture of thinking to welcome diversity
and promote the sharing of different ideas. Hence, our main objective is to listen the opinions of
our children, listen what they value, and what they don´t. They will be encouraged to express
ideas on how they perceive the school, their teachers, their peers, and their own unique role
within the school. Inevitably, by exploring how and why I am unique, we will get to know each
other better and hence our relationships will get stronger.
