through art, we are helping to develop their fine motor abilities. You must be aware of this area
as you complete each activity.
12-36 months:
Foster a sense of marvel in the children! At this stage, they are infinitely fascinated by
how matter can change: how can you manipulate the environment, and how can they be more
independent in the process? Do not limit what they can do, celebrate it, nourish it and guide
them through the process. We are building in the children good mind habits: responsibility,
Independence, autonomy, and the capacity to solve problems through cause and effect and trial
and error.
Science
Where can we find life in the plant kingdom? Can we connect it to the animal kingdom?
What happens if we take a walk through nature? What can we find behind a tree trunk? What
about behind a leaf?
The children at this stage area really fascinated by doing, not just listening.
Use the wheel of inquiry actively, letting the students truly be the protagonists in each one of the
stages of the wheel.
Ask permanently:
- Who suggests the questions here?
- Who is doing the hypothesis, them or me?
- Who experiments?
- Who does the observations, them or do I lead them?
- What percentage of mi is reflected in the answers and participation?
