Experiment
You will need: Two balloons, water, a candle, and matches.
Inflate a balloon and place it close to a light candle.
Fill a balloon with water and place it close to or over a light candle… observe what happens.
o Use the Wheel of inquiry to make hypothesis, explore, document, observe, and
conclude.

NOTE: The balloon with water takes longer to pop because water is an excellent conductor and
keeps the rubber of the balloon fresh, delaying it heating and expansion processes.
