Suggested Provocations
Four Fantastic Elements of Nature can be approached from different perspectives:
Literature: Building and developing new vocabulary, reinforce communication skills,
interpreting pictures and objects, promote writing skills, learn about legends and creation
of stories
Numeracy: Discover mathematical concepts, use of mathematical language, predict,
estimate, measure liquids, solids, gases and temperature, find patterns and sequences, sort
and label.
Science: Foster scientific method, inquiry, hypothesis, explore, analysis, discover,
evaluate process.
Art: How nature inspires so many artists? How nature inspires us? What piece of artwork
can I make with these elements? Creativity, expression, originality of thought.
Technology: What is the effect of technology in the exploration of these elements
through the years? How technology changed the way we use them?
Social Relations: Work cooperatively in projects but also reinforce independence.
Enhance gratitude and admiration
The Globe: Explore history, geography, citizenship and values. Explore the globe and the
world that surrounds us. Model awe, respect and wonder.
Eco Awareness: Promote dose of enthusiasm and sincerity, teach respectful observation
for the life around us
