Knowing how Our Body Works …
Invite the children to observe/manipulate the digestive system. You can use tangible materials,
videos, photos, or books.
Using the “function” and the “point of view” keys, start a
conversation with the children in which you comment about the different organs and their
functions. Invite the students to create their own digestive system. Use a volunteer to outline
the silhouette of the human body. Introduce the routine for thought: ¿What is missing? Using
diverse art materials; draw each part of the digestive system.

Through the conversation with the students, present several situations that allow for the
inquiry. ¿What would happen if…was missing? ¿How would our body function?
