Areas:
Verbal
Verbal communication is important because it is the one we most use along every day to communicate,
not only with the students, but also with the parents and other teachers. It is crucial to take advantage
of this opportunity and model the language for thought at all times, not only in the classroom but also
in other contexts (e.g. lunch time).
Spontaneous conversations are important in the development of the language for thought.
Pay attention to how your students verbalize their thoughts
Play with your students
Model and listen to how they communicate with each other
Name their thought or action (e.g. I see that you are being tolerant with your classmate/ I feel
that you are using the “Function” key.)

Non-verbal
In the non-verbal area, the student communicates through gestures, expressions or any other form that
is not written. It is important to take into account that the non-verbal area is an absolutely valid and
powerful form of communication. This area connects directly with mind habits such as innovate,
express, reflect to improve, make conclusions, consider perspectives, and others.
