Communication Dimension from the XXI Century
Month after month when you start connecting each topic and finding value in each one of them, the
language will appear different:

More empathic
•
Inquisitive
•
Expressive
•
Reflexive
All these mind habits that are worked with the children daily through the different tools for
thought.
It is always important to remember
Listen and pay close attention to the different forms of expression
Validate the mental processes of each student
Respect the learning rhythm of each student
That the teacher´s role can change: From guide to participant, from teacher to investigator, etc.
Suggestions to facilitate the means of communication with the students:
Pay attention to the children´s interests
Locate yourself at their level (e.g. Sit at their table as one more participant and share)
Find out about their previous experiences and take them into account
Make a reflection of the day to day (e.g. what was it that you liked best about this project?)
Use several provocations
Value the anecdotes of the things that happen daily (e.g. Children´s spontaneous conversations)
Celebrate how the children express their thoughts, and answer with excitement and emotion.
