Light and Shadows can be approached from different perspectives:
Literature: Develop new vocabulary, listening and attention, speaking, reading, tracing
and writing
Numeracy: Shapes, space and measure
Science: Observe, describe, analyze basic properties of light, explore shadows and
reflections, explore natural and artificial light
Art: elements of art and design, create their own lamps, expressiveness, creativity,
originality, trace, cut and paint my own shadow.
Technology: Artificial light, electricity, explore human creativity and innovation
Social Relations: Play in a group, find my friends’ shadows, participating in dramatic
play with other children
The Globe: The effect of light in the world, how light effects animals and plants
Eco Awareness: Self-confidence and self-awareness, express opinion, provide ideas
