When the concept of patterns is worked starting from very early ages, it is important to allow the children to play freely and make their own organization. The teachers’ task is to observe what they do, inquire why they did it that way, and promote the contrast with other organization models. We want to understand which are their theories regarding the organization of patterns and we will only achieve that when we give them the space to prove it by themselves without models or directions to copy.
