Think about what marvels you about scientific advances, about the discoveries on the
universe, what would you like to know, which of the scientists in history has impacted
you more? Once you are clear about this, share it with your students, this will make your
approach to the topic more authentic and will promote Socratic dialogues.
•
Model the thought routines but remember to give the children space and time to
participate in them.
•
Use many real photographs
•
Expose the children to multiple experiences about the topic, not to be afraid of dealing
with topics that they don´t know. You are promoting their first experiences which are the
ones that begin the richness of the multiple neuronal networks that will later be built
when connecting with new learning.
•
Permanently share the topics seen, the activities carried out and future focuses with the
families, so that at home they promote dialogues related with those topics and the
learning is extended.
